PRICING

  • All Outcomes are priced in a range from P$ 0 to P$ 100 (or C$ 0 to C$ 100 in Contests) and the prices of all Outcomes in a Market will sum to 100.  This is because each price represents the percentage chance of that Outcome becoming true.
  • In the example Market "Will the Kansas City Chiefs win the AFC West?", we have two Outcomes:  "Yes" and "No"
  • "Yes" is priced at P$ 60 which implies a 60% chance that the Chiefs win the AFC West.  "No" is priced at P$ 40 which implies a 40% chance that a different team will win the AFC West.
  • When a share of an Outcome is purchased, the price of that Outcome increases and the price of the other Outcome(s) in that Market decreases.
  • When a share of an Outcome is sold, the price of that Outcome decreases and the price of the other Outcome(s) in that Market increases.
  • When a Market is resolved, the correct Outcome will be priced at P$ 100 and the incorrect Outcome(s) will be priced at P$ 0.
